According to Orwell's work, Newspeak aims at destroying language in order to control people. But, is language really necessary for thought? Is there any way in which we can think without using words? How can we fool Newspeak?

I think you can´t thougth without a lenguage, because if you don´t have one, you could not give shape to the ideas, because you can´t even think in something if you don´t know how to express ideas.
ResponderEliminarThat is exactly the key to this question: does an idea need to be put into words? Can't we just picture a situation without any need to mention a word, to put on a label? Very interesting topic, indeed.
